Santa Theresa Tile Works (STTW) has had the privilege to participate in the restoration of historic buildings and other architectural and design features of public and private sites in around Arizona and Texas. We have recreated both field and decorative tiles from heartland companies, tile-makers from California’s golden age (1920-1940), and artist-made Mid-Century Modern gold relief, with our decorative handmade tile-making process.
STTW takes pride in the research it does for our clients. One of our greatest resources for historic work is The Tile Heritage Foundation. Our handmade tiles have passed the scrutiny of the National Park Service, Texas Historic Commission, Tucson Historic Preservation Society (non-profit organization), City of Tucson Office of Historic Preservation and Pima County Office of Sustainability and Conservation.
Our love of tile extends into community service projects. We have combined our knowledge of tile and artistic creativity to create tiles that fit new features in historic settings
Please contact us either through email or phone to discuss your tile restoration project. Images of the existing tile and site are extremely helpful.
